Background on Attorney Dustin N. Schirmer

Dustin N. Schirmer was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. Dustin graduated with his Associate of Arts and Associate of Science from El Paso Community College, before graduating high school, and subsequently he received his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, in Political Science from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). At UTEP, Dustin served as the Student Government Association traffic court prosecutor representing the University in parking disputes, and as an officer in the National Society of Leadership and Success, Sigma Alpha Pi. Dustin served as one of three student keynote speakers for UTEP’s annual scholarship luncheon in 2015. Dustin was personally highlighted at the UTEP, 2015 spring commencement speech by then President of UTEP, Dr. Diana Natalicio, a TIME 100: influential person.

Following UTEP, Dustin graduated with his Juris Doctor at the Pennsylvania State University’s Penn State Law, in the class of 2019. In law school, Dustin obtained a CALI award for having the highest score on the final exam in his Corporations class, a class with over sixty other law students. Dustin also joined the Phi Delta Phi and Phi Alpha Delta legal honor societies while in law school. In addition, Dustin also spent his second-year summer conducting extensive legal research into current Antitrust law decisions for a Lexis Treatise edited by Penn State Law Professor, John Lopatka.

Dustin was admitted to practice law in West Virginia in October, 2019.
